There are instances where it is not just a person's physical wellbeing that can be in jeopardy. Sometimes individuals can just as easily have their economic wellbeing compromised.
The Law Office of Shaheen Wallace will vigorously pursue your rights if you find yourself in the midst of a business litigation scenario.
What Is A Breach?
Virtually every business relationship centers around a contract. A contract can be a sixty page document, an oral promise, or an agreement written on the back of a napkin. As long as one party promises to do something in exchange for something else, a valid contract has been formed.
A breach occurs when one party does not live up to their end of the bargain.
When there is a breach, a party can suffer loss--of money--of property--or of any number of things.
What Recourse Is There?
In terms of recovery, a breach of contract is much different than a personal injury claim.
In a breach of contract lawsuit, there are no damages for "pain and suffering" or "punitive damages." Instead, where there is a breach of contract, a party can sue to be made whole; to have the contract enforced; or to have the contract rescinded as if it never existed.
